  1. kismet says:

To Jews, Zion is Jerusalem and Israel (their homeland and holiest place). To Rastafarians, "Zion" stands for a Utopian place of unity, peace and freedom, as opposed to "Babylon," the oppressing and exploiting system of the western world and a place of evil.

  2. HenryIX says:

    In the mind.
Zion is the Church of Christ ,the New Jerusalem coming down from heaven.

The Rastafarians are talking about Ethiopia the specific country and as a poetic term for Africa in general. The Jews mean mount Zion in Jerusalem.

I can’t imagine why anyone would care.
